Effectively maximizing teaching in a time constrained clinical environment can be challenging. Instructors need time efficient methods to identify the learner's needs, teach quickly and provide feedback. This module looks at the key components of clinical teaching and explains three evidence-based clinical teaching models - One Minute Preceptor, SNAPPS Model, and Cognitive Apprenticeship.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this online activity, learners will be able to:

1) Recognize various instructional strategies that can be utilized in a clinical setting.
2) Examine methodologies associated with effective clinical teaching.
