In this virtual workshop, Diane Chico, PhD, Instructional Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Education, & Terri Kurz, PhD, Assistant Dean for Professional Development, compare medical education scholarship to other types of scholarship, examine available resources and venues for presenting and publishing medical education scholarship, and identify potential medical education scholarship topics.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this online activity, learners will be able to:

1) Explain the similarities and differences between medical education scholarship and other types of scholarship.
2) Examine available resources and venues for presenting and publishing medical education scholarship.
3) Identify medical education topics that could be opportunities for scholarship.
