In this virtual presentation, Denise Puga, PhD, CIP, HRPP Education & Outreach Coordinator at Texas A&M University Human Research Protection Program, explains the process and function of the IRB, the Belmont Principles and how they are connected to the IRB process, and when to submit to the IRB.
At the conclusion of this online activity, learners will be able to:
1) Recall the purpose and function of the IRB.
2) Name and define the Belmont Principles, and provide a direct link from each Belmont Principle to the IRB process.
3) Identify when to submit to the IRB.
