In this virtual presentation, Sheila Green, MSLS, AHIP, and Margaret Foster, MS, MPH, AHIP, discuss various AI-based methods and tools for conducting efficient and effective literature searches, guidelines and policies on using AI for medical education scholarship and peer review, ethical and legal implications of AI in scholarly communication, experimenting and creating with AI tools, and the potential benefits and limitations of AI in medical education scholarship.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this online activity, learners will be able to:
1) Identify, apply, and critique various AI-based methods and tools for conducting efficient and effective literature searches.
2) Evaluate publisher guidelines and policies on using AI for medical education scholarship and peer review and recognize the ethical and legal implications of AI in scholarly communication.
3) Experiment and create with AI tools and reflect on their potential benefits and limitations for medical education scholarship.
