In this virtual presentation, Shana Merlin discusses strategies for giving and receiving feedback including making questions open and specific, structuring feedback conversations using Sherlock's Questions, delivering feedback that is SMART, and modeling how to accept feedback that is given with openness and curiosity.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this online activity, learners will be able to:

1) Revise questions to implement the Axis of Inquiry: How can we make our questions both open and specific to get the information we want?

2) Structure feedback conversations using Sherlock's Questions: Used in the Art of Change to understand what we can start, stop, and continue doing to be more effective.

3) Deliver SMART feedback that is Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Time Bound.

4) Model how to accept feedback that is given with openness and curiosity.
